Pacheco welcomes new faculty and staff

Pacheco PTA welcomes some new faces on our campus. Our new secretary, Monique De Leon, has worked as a secretary in many different levels including at a university. From Bakersfield, she is living in Pismo Beach.

Yuliana Coronel is our new EL Specialist. She is a credentialed teacher that worked at Del Mar and Monarch Grove. She lives in Cambria.

Our new counselor, Maribel Chavez, has taught middle school and elementary. She is a credentialed teacher and counselor.
Monica Koch joins the 2nd grade teaching team. Monica, originally from Argentina, has worked as an aide at Pacheco for many years. She recently completed her credential and is an excellent addition to our team.

Our fourth grade team is welcoming Angela Avila & Carmen Jimenez. Angela has been both an EL Specialist and fifth grade teacher, we welcome her back into the classroom. Carmen, a veteran teacher from the Los Angeles area, has a degree in computer science and has worked as a literacy and a math coach. She has also taught math at Claremont Graduate School. All of our new folks are fluent Spanish speakers.

Join us at our next PTA meeting (Oct. 14th) for a PTA sponsored series, “Get to Know your Teachers.” Ms. Jimenez will join us and dis- cuss what is going on this year in 4th grade.

We are fortunate to have wonderful and caring educators that serve our children. If you have a chance welcome all our new teachers, staff and families.

PTA funds art, music & classroom supplies

At the September 2014 PTA Board meeting, members ap- proved proposals that would bring needed art, music and classroom supplies to our school. $4300 in supplies were added to this years budget!

Each year teachers and parents recommend items that will benefit the enrichment of our students. A main objective of the Pacheco PTA is to provide enrichment activities through music, art, community building activities and field trips that improve the classroom experiences. Join us at our PTA Board meeting to learn how you can be a part of this organization.
