PTA is People Powered!
Hello Pacheco Families!
Pacheco PTA doesn’t run on its own. It’s powered by YOU! Every event we host, every program we fund, and every opportunity we create for our students happens because of the time, energy, and support of our amazing PTA members and Panther community.

Panther Pride Business Sponsorship
This time of year, you’re probably used to hearing about our annual Pacheco Pride Campaign—a fundraiser where both families and businesses were simply asked to contribute money to support the events and programs the PTA sponsors.
This year, we’ve made some big and exciting changes!
Pacheco Pride Campaign is now the Panther Pride Business Sponsorship Program!
This new fundraiser focuses on local businesses.
We offer many business sponsorship levels, and each has great benefits, like banners, gift baskets, and more.
Join the Panther Pride by September 19th so that your business logo can be printed on our Walk-a-thon shirts!

For families, we invite you to donate to our Walk-a-thon!
Instead of receiving endless requests for cash donations to Pacheco Pride Campaign, families can support the PTA this fall by sponsoring their child in our annual Walk-a-Thon which happens October 17th!
Because we have so many volunteers during the Walk-a-Thon, this allows more families to connect with each other at the start of the year.
Walk-a-thon details will be coming in the next few weeks, but you can visit our website to learn how it works!

Already made a family donation this fall?
Don’t worry! Your gift, along with every dollar raised throughout the year, goes directly toward funding PTA programs and events that enrich the school year for every Pacheco student.
We’re excited about this change because it keeps things simpler, more fun, and better tailored for both families and businesses. Thank you for supporting Pacheco PTA and helping us continue to provide amazing opportunities for our Panthers!

Your Pacheco PTA
What is PTA anyway?
We're excited to share WHAT PTA is, HOW PTA works, and WHY PTA is important to Pacheco Elementary! We have a lot of information to share. We'll start with...
What is PTA anyway?
Pacheco's Parent Teacher Association, the PTA, is a non-profit organization with the sole mission of uniting parents, teachers, and our community to enhance the educational experience of each of our Pacheco Elementary students.
We meet regularly on the second Tuesday of each month in person and over Zoom.
How does PTA accomplish this mission?
We accomplish this by organizing fundraisers to pay for the events we host and programs we provide and by recruiting a large team of volunteers to help put it all together throughout the year.
Join us in our mission!
Why is PTA important for Pacheco?
You may not realize this, but the school district doesn't pay for everything that happens at Pacheco so PTA steps in to fill this gap. Every dollar raised through PTA fundraisers pays for:
Field trips for each grade, including transportation costs (we even pay for those school busses!)
Overnight science camp for sixth graders at no cost to their families
School assemblies
Our book fair which provides our school library with new books every year
Dia Del Nino Carnival
Dia de los Muertos supplies
Playground equipment
Staff Appreciation events
Popcorn Fridays and Popcorn Parties for Classrooms
Refreshments for ELAC meetings
School Improvements that the district does not cover, like the new speakers purchased last year
Variety Show supplies
Walk-a-Thon t-shirts for each student
Supplies for each classroom not covered by other funds
Yearbooks for each student
None of this is paid for by the district and would not happen without financial support from our amazing Pacheco families and our generous business sponsors. We appreciate you!
Join us at our monthly PTA meetings to be learn more!
How does PTA raise money?
We have three main fundraisers this year. First is our Walk-a-Thon which will occur in October. In conjunction with that is our new and improved Panther Pride Business Sponsorship program. In the spring we will host our first ever Raise Craze fundraiser which raises money for our school AND promotes acts of kindness! In partnership with local businesses, we also host Restaurant Nights throughout the year. And let's not forget about a good old fashion bake sale every now and then!
Because we are classified as a 501(c)3 organization, donations made to Pacheco PTA are tax deductible!
Become a business sponsor and join the Panther Pride!
Who decides how PTA funds are spent?
Our PTA members decide how funds are spent. Together with Mr. Huizar and Ms. Amy, the PTA Board works to coordinate events, identify ways to improve our students experience while on campus, and support our Pacheco staff. Nothing happens without our administration's approval. These ideas are then presented to our PTA members at our regular meetings and together we vote to make things happen, or not.
Join PTA to be part of this process!
How are PTA events organized?
Our PTA is powered by amazing volunteers like you who give their time, talents, and energy to make Pacheco a wonderful place for our Panthers. Our volunteers put in the ideas, the effort, and the energy to make every single event possible. Maybe they don't always have the time, but they always have the heart!
Be a part of the fun, become a volunteer!
So, why do we, the board members participate in PTA?
The answer is simple. We truly want the very best for our students and our staff. We see potential in every single child that enters Pacheco Elementary, and we will make every effort to ensure that each and every Panther has what they need to thrive at our school.
We invite you to join us and become a part of Pacheco PTA.
Thank you for reading this post. We know it's a long one, but we hope you felt it was worth it.
We're better together,
Your Pacheco PTA
